- About us -

The villa built in 1903 was – until the World War II, used as the Swedish consulate by the grandfather and was also the birthplace of the present owner. After 1945 the house was occupied by the communists, then expropriated by the GDR and restituted in 1991 to the Joop-family.

After 1945 the house was occupied by the communists, then expropriated by the GDR and restituted in 1991 to the Joop-family.
Ursula and Bernd Joop converted the old villa into a small luxury hotel, putting in lots of ideas and efforts to restore, extend and equip the property.

Opening 1993 they both - with no experience in the hotel business but with management background in industries, have mastered the ups and downs of the "founders period" after the GDR-collapse and finally obtained a leading position on the magdeburg's hotels ranking list.

Their trademarks are: high quality standard and individual service as if to say "Do more than guests expect and let them feel like visiting friends."
